Folks in Laurieston and the surrounding district can look forward to a musical treat on September 4. Local lass Cheryl Forbes, now an international singing star, is joined by one of Scotland’s foremost entertainers, Gordon Cree, to provide us with an evening of song, fun and laughter. Many Falkirk bairns will have seen Cheryl’s career begin in the Christmas panto of our own Children’s Theatre. Recently, Cheryl has worked with the London Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. For a superb evening of musical entertainment provided by not one but two of Scotland’s finest performers, come along to Laurieston Church and enjoy. Funds raised from £5 admission will be divided between Laurieston Church and L.O.F.W.A. Tickets are available from Laurieston Old Folks coffee morning members or pay at the church door. Tea and coffee and biscuit included.
