Planning continues for the prize bingo evening in the Railway Club in Grangemouth on May 22. The rain held off for the Charities Day and a large variety of organisations entertained and gave information on their causes throughout a busy day. The Vale of Carron Rotarians demonstrated a Shelter Box and its contents, including a tent, stove, tools -in fact everything a family would need to rebuild lives after a major disaster. Copies of the CD Carron Aid, a collection of Burns’ music performed by members and friends a few years ago, raised a considerable amount in donations from generous folk. Children were entertained by a host of activities including a climbing wall and chute.
