A nurse and mum of two is sporting a close crop after braving the shave for charity .
Evonne Johnston(42) decided to shear her hair for Macmillan after seeing two friends lose a parent to cancer.
Evonne, who has daughters Mia (10) and Zoe (8), both pupils at Carron Primary, said: “I saw how good Macmillan were to my friends and their family during treatment and they provided support when they lost their battle.
“I saw the Brave the Shave campaign and decided to go for it.”
Evonne set a target of £100, but surpassed it in days. By this week the nurse at Viewfields Practice in Stirling had raised £2615.
She said: “I’ve been blown away by everyone’s generosity. I organised an event for the shave, with tea and home baking and raised £600 alone then.
“I was out in Falkirk at the weekend and someone asked why I had a shaved head, when she found out it was for charity she donated £10.”
Evonne is enjoying the low maintenance style so much, she intends to keep it shaved for now.
