A new charity is fighting the corner for boxer dogs and striving to give the distinctive breed a loving home.
Run by Claire Muldoon and Ewan Cheyne in Larbert, Adopt A Boxer Scotland aims to raise the profile of boxer dogs and the plight of families who are looking to rehome their pet.
“We are based in Larbert,” said Claire. “But we have volunteers all over Scotland, the majority of them in Falkirk and Glasgow at the moment.”
The charity was founded by a small group of enthusiastic boxer dog owners in Central Scotland who have worked in various dog rescue roles over the years.
Claire said: “We saw a need for a rescue that would find good homes for boxers and support those who have to make the difficult decision to rehome their dog, as well as promote responsible dog ownership at the same time.
“After months of planning, we gained charity status in March and recently successfully rehomed our first boxer dog.”
