Jennifer is Mariners Day Queen

Rain clouds failed to dampen the spirits of the crowds who turned out for Mariners Day 2016.

Hundreds lined the streets of Camelon to watch the parade, which featured bands, peformers and schoolchildren.

They then headed to Stirling Road playing fields for the crowning ceremony when Bantaskin Primary School pupil Jennifer Cooke was crowned Mariners Day Queen 2016 by local florist Aileen Ferguson.

Lindsay Smith took part in the symbolic Ceremony of the Keys when he made the presentation to Provost Pat Reid.
