Jamie Gary McLean

THE PARENTS: Mum Eve McLean (31) is originally from Essex and is now a hairdresser in Polmont, while dad Gary McLean (36) is a Falkirk postman. The couple live in Polmont with Jamie and elder son David (3).

THE PREGNANCY: Eve describes the nine months as “not too bad” and a lot better than first time when she admits she felt quite sorry for herself.

THE BIRTH: After being in early labour for five days, Eve was eventually induced and Jamie arrived within the hour.

THE BABY: “A super, smiley wee boy” was how mum describes him. Despite being quite unwell with an infection which resulted in a hospital stay and still involving lots of check ups, he is always a happy and content baby.

THE NAME: On mum’s side there are several with the name James and this is the couple’s own twist, while Gary is after dad.

THE GRANDPARENTS: Jamie is a new grandson for Margaret and 
Colin McLean of Polmont and Yvonne and Tony Dawkins of Essex.
