Would-be Ed Sheerans and Paolo Nutinis can now come and have a strum and a sing in front of crowds of Sunday shoppers in the Howgate.

The Falkirk shopping centre’s first Sunday Session takes place this weekend from noon to 4pm and allows buskers to set up and sing out in a prime position inside the centre.

Ally McNeill helped the Howgate launch the sessions last weekend with a set of songs outside Superdrug to whet shoppers’ appetites for the event when it goes live this Sunday.

The first 10 buskers who sign up for the Sunday Sessions will receive £25 gift vouchers. Each performer is captured on video and posted on the Howgate’s Facebook page and the one who gets the most likes over the next few weeks will be presented with a £50 gift voucher.

All the acts have permission from Howgate management to use their slot as an opportunity to raise some cash for themselves or for the charity of their choice.
