Falkirk bairns had a happier Easter thanks to generous shoppers at the Howgate shopping centre.

The appeal gathered over 150 eggs which were donated to Aberlour Child Care Trust and distributed across the Falkirk Council area.

Aberlour is the largest Scottish charity promoting children’s development and wellbeing and providing support for families.

Howgate general manager Suzanne Arkinson said: “We are delighted with the sheer generosity of our shoppers for bringing a special meaning to Easter for those children who received them.”

Winnie Delaney from Aberlour Child Care Trust said: “The people of Falkirk have been fantastically generous and we’re grateful to them, and to Suzanne and her staff at the Howgate.”
