They desperately need to find a new home for Santa’s sleigh – but they have promised that anyone willing to get involved doesn’t have to bother about
Rudolph and friends too!

It seems they already have their own stable where for 11 months of the year they can relax and put their (four) feet up.

Members of Falkirk Round Table, like colleagues in the organisation across the country, host an annual Santa’s Sleigh as part of their fundraising efforts.

As well as touring residential areas throughout the district where Santa greets children, they often park up in the heart of the town centre to meet youngsters and find out what is on their wish list.

The Falkirk members recently handed over the cash from last festive season’s collection, presenting £5000 to Maggie’s Forth Valley and £1000 the Ochil Mountain Rescue.

Appealing for help on behalf of Santa Claus, Mark Northway, chairman of Falkirk Round Table, said: “We are desperate to find a new permanent home for our sleigh.

“For many years a local business has stored the sleigh for us, however it can’t provide us with this space anymore as it needs to be used for other purpose.

“We need to find a new home to store the sleigh during the year. It takes up around the same space as a car and we would be looking for somewhere that is secure and dry due to the electrics on the sleigh.

“We raise thousands of pounds each year during the two week sleigh period however despite our best efforts to find a new home for the sleigh we haven’t been able to find one.”
