Following the winding up of Friends of Falkirk and District Royal, the trust is looking for new charities to help

Trustees of a fund which benefits charities in the Falkirk area are calling for applications from those looking for cash grants.

The Agnes Watt Trust Fund was set up in 2013 as the legacy of a family with its roots in the town.

Agnes was the last of four sisters who had been brought up in a house at the Bleachfields.

Following her death in 2003 her legacy was divided between St Andrew’s West Church and the Friends of Falkirk and District Royal. However, when the latter organisation was wound up with the opening of Forth Valley Royal Hospital, the new trust fund was set up.

Applications are now invited from relevant charities for financial support for their activities. It is essential that the concerned organisations operate and provide benefit within the Falkirk Council area.

The available funds are limited and the Trustees consider and determine the most appropriate applications meeting the criteria.

All applications should give full details of charity status and outline of purpose for which application is made.

Additional documentation can be provided if thought useful.

Submissions should be made to: Contact Trustee AWTF, 1 Majors Loan, Falkirk FK1 5QF. Closing date for applications is December 31, 2015.
