The spectacular Helix Park opened its gates on Saturday, giving visitors the first glimpse of the multi-million pound project.
The site was packed throughout the afternoon as locals and visitors flocked to the park to see what it had to offer.
Crowds were entertained by a number different art and theatrical shows, including performances from local groups, Stenhouse School of Dance, Central Scotland Ballet School, NRG Performers and Project Theatre.
The splash pool proved very popular with youngsters when it was turned on for the first time - including one-year-old Lexi Stewart (pictured).
The pictures featured in our slideshow were taken by readers during the day.
