A Falkirk High School pupil took it upon herself to organise a special event to raise over £2000 to help a little girl who had a rare form of cancer.

Demi-Louise Love (13) worked hard to set up a prize bingo and raffle in the Ochiltree Social Club, in Ochiltree Terrace, Camelon, last week for Airth youngster Millie McColl (4) and her charity fund Millie’s Journey.

Demi-Louise met up with Millie and her parents Dean and Lynsey at the Kincardine Way last week to hand over a cheque for £2170.

Millie was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma last year and, following extensive treatment, is now in remission.

However, her family are still collecting as much money as they can so they can allow her to access a trial drug which is only available in America and could prevent the disease returning.
