Headway charity fundraising reaches £41,000

A cheque for £6000 was given to a brain injury charity in Falkirk at a presentation with some of the fundraisers and members in Larbert.

Over £41,000 has been raised to date for the charity which provides support to anyone who has suffered a traumatic brain injury in Falkirk district.

The local Headway group is affiliated with the national

association and provides information, support and 
services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers who attend the group meetings.

The group helps people to understand all aspects of a brain injury by increasing awareness of brain injury and its consequences such as providing and promoting 
improved approaches to brain injury screening, acute care, assessment, rehabilitation and social re-integration and assisting people with brain injuries to return to 
community living.
