So if you see some wizards, dementors or ghosts on Saturday evening, fear not, as they will only be heading to Waterstones to queue up for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

The shop will open its doors at 11pm and once the clock strikes midnight will start selling the book, which is the most pre-ordered book in the USA since the Deathly Hallows (another Harry Potter book for those who may not know) in 2007.

The book is the most pre-ordered print and Kindle book on Amazon with huge sales being reported and is expected to be the biggest selling book of 2016 according to some retailers.

JK Rowling’s latest Hogwarts instalment is the rehearsal script of the play, parts one and two, which has received rave reviews since its theatre release.

It is the eighth part in the Harry Potter series and includes all the familiar names like Harry, Ron Weasley and Hermione Grainger as well as new characters.

Simon Lloyd of Falkirk’s Waterstones said: “We will be expecting lots of people for this exciting event as we have over 300 pre-orders so far.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is available to pre-order for £10.
