Happy Days time as Bo'ness steams back to the 50's

The annual event features Rusty and The Riots, steam trains (of course), dance demos and DJs.

You’ll also find stalls selling local produce, children’s games and vintage vehicles to admire.

Period costume is encouraged, and volunteers and staff at the railway are getting their own outfits ready - if you’re stuck for inspiration take a look at some Youtube clips of West Side Story.

Amanda Kilburn, business development director, said: “This year we’ve an even more packed programme than last, everyone loves the trains of course and there is a pre-bookable afternoon tea available on the 14.10 departure, along with a quiz and 1950’s style colouring sheets to keep the little ones happy.

“We are pleased to say local businesses are also supporting us this year and there will be stalls with sweet treats and vintage records, amongst others.

“Bo’ness Community Bus is available for anyone travelling in from Edinburgh and we have also teamed up with our friends at The Edinburgh Transport Museum to offer visitors a most fitting way to travel to and from our 1950s event - on a vintage bus which will run from Linlithgow to Bo’ness Station free of charge.”

Train tickets must be purchased at the Booking Office on Bo’ness Station platform on arrival at the event to gain access to all trains and activities listed.
