They say a rolling stone gathers no moss and for the last 15 years one local group has ensured its members are kept on the go.
The Wanderers Group meets every two weeks to travel to other parts of the country, mainly in the central belt/Central Scotland area to have some lunch and a blether between friends.
The group is run by members of local churches who hire a mini bus from Order of Malta to do their wandering around places like Kirkcaldy, Crieff and their last outing to the Ochil Tearoom in Alva.
Christine Tait of the Falkirk Old and St Modan’s congregation, who helps organise the trips, said: “Since the outings began 15 years ago over 100 people have take advantage of them.
“We just like to find nice places to go and have a spot of lunch or tea and we’re usually home by about 4.30 p.m. so the day isn’t too long. We have around a dozen regulars who we pick up at their homes.”
