To stay fit and healthy in your golden years there’s plenty of activities that will keep the ticker going along nicely.
Step Forth walks and classes are run by Falkirk Community Trust to help keep communities physically active and vibrant and there’s something in almost every area of the district.
In Grangemouth there’s walks which leave the Community Education Unit at the sports complex in Abbots Road every Monday and Wednesday at 10am and the Wednesday walk also features an Otago class.
The sessions are designed for people who would like to improve their strength and balance, which is an excellent class to prevent falls, or to rehabilitate from a fall.
Step Forth development officer Barbara McConnell said: “The walks are great fun with a brilliant bunch of people who like to keep active and have a blether as they do it.
“We have loads of classes and walks that suit a broad range of ages and fitness levels and everyone is welcome to come along.”
