The Next Step (Forth Valley)
If you have a mobility problem, but like to keep active and enjoy the outdoors there’s a local group right up your street.
The Next Step group offers people with physical disabilities the chance keep busy by organising days out at various attractions and locations throughout Scotland.
The group was formed to provide outings and events that are both educational and fun for people and their carers.
Previous trips have been to the Scottish Parliament, Dynamic Earth, David Livingstone Centre, Blair Drummond Safari Park and Loch Lomond.
Physical disability development officer Sandra Snaddon said: “We hire a wheelchair-accessible minibus with an experienced, qualified driver and organise a few outings during the summer months.”
The next trip is planned for June 12 and there are still spaces left on the bus for that one. Pick-up points are in Grangemouth and Bainsford.
