The ‘before and after’ changes in personality following a week-long sponsored place at the Rotary Youth Leaders Awards’ course at Ardeonaig on Loch Tay during the summer were described for members of the Rotary Club of Grangemouth at its meeting last week. In a most enthusiastic joint presentation Ashley Mitchell and Emily Marshall outlined how, during their action packed programme sponsored by the club, they had conquered their fear of heights and jumping into water from a height s well as other team bonding exercises. Following the vote of thanks proposed by Brian Muldoon, the RYLA candidates, who were accompanied last week by Mr Paul Dunn, headteacher, were presented with framed diplomas as a permanent reminder of their achievements. President Jim Stirling, who made the presentations, was in the chair. Tonight (Thursday), the Rotary Club’s Santa Sleigh will be in Bo’ness Road and Grangeburn Road, with the route for the following week as follows: Friday, Tinto Drive to Morriston Court; Saturday, Tesco and Asda; Sunday, Burnbank Road to Haig Street; Monday, Newhouse Road to Abbots Road; Tuesday, Kersiebank Avenue to Craigleith Road and Bowhouse Road.
