St James

A coffee morning on behalf of Macmillan Nurses will take place in the church hall from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, September 26. Please support this very worthwhile event and raise money towards funding a Macmillan Nurse who can make a difference to cancer sufferers and their families. The service on Sunday will be conducted by Rev. Colin Mailer and will be the Harvest Thanksgiving. Contributions received will be sent on to the Falkirk Foodbank.

Miller Hall

Morning service will be at 11.30 a.m. in the Dawson Centre. The 6 p.m. service will be with Rev. Campbell Campbell-Jack. Bible study will be on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m.

United Church

The kids Sunday club meets in the church hall at 11 a.m. Come along and make new friends while enjoying games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. The Youth Group (ages 11-18) meet on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the church halls. The Boys Brigade meets weekly on Fridays in the church halls: Anchor Boys (ages 5-7) from 6 to 7.15 p.m., Junior Section (ages 8-10) from 6.45 to 8.15 p.m. and Company Section (ages 11-18) from 8 to 10 p.m. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet throughout the week. The Guild meets on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. in the church halls. The guest speaker is Philip Hacking talking about Hospital Chaplaincy at Forth Valley. All will be made most welcome. Westfield Park

Christmas Fayre will be held on Saturday, November 22 from 1-4 p.m. with lots of Christmas goodies for sale, activities for kids, tombola and raffle. Come along and support the centre while doing some Christmas shopping. Thornwood Residents and Tenants Association is holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning on Saturday in the Centre from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come along and support this very worthwhile cause. The community learning and development team is looking at setting up a mums group in the Centre. If you would interested in coming along with other mums for a chat and time to relax while the kids are in the creche please call the centre to register your interest.
