Bowling Club

Grahamston Bowling Club is holding a prize bingo on Tuesday, October 21. Tickets £1 or pay at the door. Any member wishing to donate a prize must have it in the club by October 20. Bingo will start at 7.30 p.m. prompt, so it would be appreciated if everyone could be in by 7.20 p.m. Tea and a biscuits will be provided, so please bring your own cup. Members should note that all belongings not safely stored away in lockers should be removed from the locker room. Any items of clothing, bags, bowls etc. left lying in the locker room after October 31 will be deemed to be unwanted and will be disposed of. The next games night will be on Friday, October 31 at 8 p.m. The winners of last Friday’s games night was Jim Georgeson, Pam Stoddart and Catherine Neill. A very enjoyable night was had by all. Tickets are now on sale in the clubhouse for the presentation dance on Saturday, November 8 at a cost of £8. Tickets are selling fast. Tickets are limited to 60 for the hall and 30 for the lounge. Music will be provided by Ultra Violet and a hot and cold buffet supper will be served.

United Church

Autumn Coffee Morning takes place on Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon in the church halls where there are all the usual stalls. Tickets are £2.50 or pay at the door. The kids Sunday Club meets in the Church Hall at 11 a.m. Come along and make new friends while enjoying games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. There is no meeting of the Boys Brigade on Friday. All three sections resume on Friday, October 24. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet throughout the week. The Guild meet on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. in the church halls. This week’s speaker is Janette Gorman who will be talking about poppies. All will be made most welcome. Miller Hall

On Sunday, services will be at 11 a.m. with Mr Michael Hamilton and at 6 p.m. with Mr Bobby Young. Bible study will be on Wednesday at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

St James

Rev. John Jenkinson will take the morning services this Sunday and next Sunday.
