Thornwood TRA

Thornwood Tenants and Residents Association is having a prize bingo on Saturday in the Thornhill Community Centre. Eyes down 7.30 p.m. Please bring your own cup. Admission £1.

Miller Hall

Services on Sunday will be at 11 a.m. with Mr Jim McEwan and 6 p.m. with Mr Raymond Hubbocks. The anniversary social will be on November 14 at 7.30 p.m. when Douglas Cranston will be the speaker with singing from Trinity and the reading by Mrs Helen Malcolm.

United Church

The kids Sunday Club meets in the church hall at 11 a.m. Come along and make new friends while enjoying games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet throughout the week. The Boys Brigade meet weekly on Fridays in the church halls: Anchor Boys (ages 5-7) from 6 to 7.15 p.m.,Junior Section (ages eight-10) from 6.45 to 8.15 p.m. and Company Section (ages 11-18) from 7.45 to 10 p.m. The Guild meets on Wednesday at 2.15 p.m. in the church halls. This week’s theme is “Go Serve” with the DVD the annual meeting. All will be made most welcome. The badminton club meets weekly in the church hall on Wednesdays from 8 p.m. Players young and old, from novice to champion are welcome. St James

Rev. Colin Mailer will lead the next morning service. Please note the Remembrance Service on Sunday will commence at the earlier time of 10.45 a.m. This will also include the enrolment of the 7th Falkirk Company Boys Brigade during which two Queens Badges will be presented to members of the Boys Brigade. Tea will be served in the hall after the service. A Kirk Session/Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 7 p.m.

Christmas Fair

The Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, November 22 at Westfield Park Community Centre between 1-4 p.m. with lots of Christmas goodies for sale, activities for kids, tombola and raffle.
