Bowling Club

Members are reminded that anyone going on the bowling trip to Harrogate in May must have their hotel rooms paid by April 1. Monies can be handed into the bar. The opening of the green is on Saturday, March 28 at 1.30 p.m. for a 2 p.m. start. All fees should be paid by March 27. The treasurer will be in the club every Friday to accept fees, or fees can be handed into the bar staff. The ladies opening of the green is on Friday, April 10 at 5.30 p.m. followed by a high tea and an evening of entertainment. New members will be made very welcome at Grahamston Bowling Club. All new members will benefit from half price fees for the first year. Bowls, shoes and coaching is available to any new member who requires them. The last Games Night is tomorrow (Friday) at 8 p.m. after which the overall winner will be announced.

Miller Hall

On Sunday, the 11 a.m. service is with Mr Danny Chambers and at 6 p.m. with Mr Richard Fettes. Bible study is on Wednesdat at 7.30 p.m. All welcome.

United Church

The Easter coffee morning takes place on Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon in the church halls. Stalls include cake and candy, soft goods and bric-a-brac. Tickets available for £2.50 or pay at the door. All welcome. The children’s Sunday club meets in the church hall at 11 a.m. Come along and make new friends while enjoying games, arts and crafts, songs and Bible stories. The youth group (ages 11-18) meets on Sunday at 7 p.m. in the church halls. Rainbows, Brownies and Guides meet throughout the week. 1st Falkirk Boys Brigade meet weekly on Fridays in the church Halls, anchor boys (ages 5-7) from 6 to 7.15 p.m., junior section (ages 8-10) from 6.45 to 8.15 p.m. and company section (ages 11-18) from 7.45 to 10 p.m. Grahamston Toddlers meets in the church hall on Wednesdays from 9.30 to 11.30 a.m. Cost £1.50 including snack. The badminton club meets weekly in the church hall on Wednesday from 8 p.m. Players young and old, from novice to champion are welcome. St James

Rev. Colin Mailer will lead worship on Sunday. Anyone who would like to donate an Easter egg to be distributed to disadvantaged children around the district, please bring them alone on Sunday or next Sunday. Rev. John Jenkinson will take service on Sunday, March 29 when the Souper Sunday will take place directly after the service, the proceeds of which will go to the Church of Scotland HIV programme.
