United Church

There will be no meetings of the kids Sunday club on April 13, and the club will resume on Sunday, April 20.

The Boys Brigade is also on holiday and Junior and Company Sections will resume on Friday, April 25 with Anchor Boys resuming on Monday, April 28. The Guild meets on Wednesday, April 16 at 2.15 p.m. in the church halls for its Easter afternoon. All are welcome. For more information on all church events and activities, visit the website.

Bowling Club

There is no dance this month, but there is a prize bingo in the club on Tuesday, April 22. Eyes down at 7.30 p.m. prompt. £1 entry either by ticket or pay at the door, please bring your own cup. The club lounge is open every Friday night, so come along for a chat and a quiet drink with friends. There are two dance dates for your diary in May. On Saturday, May 10 Jackie Clarke will be the entertainer, and on Saturday, May 24, the club has a touring team coming all the way from Llanbradach in South Wales to play bowls in the afternoon followed by entertainment from John Davidson. All welcome.

Miller Hall

On Sunday, the 11 a.m. service is with Mr Jim McEwan and the 6 p.m. is with Lachie McLeod. There is no bible study on April 16. All welcome.

St James

Rev. Colin Mailer will conduct the service on Sunday when the Sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated. Please bring along an Easter egg to be distributed throughout the district to disadvantaged children. On Thursday, April 17 at 7.30 p.m., the sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated in St James Church in a joint service with Bainsford United Church. There will also be a joint service on Friday, April 18 at 7.30 p.m. The Easter ‘Flowering of the Cross’ will take place from 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19 in the church hall Anyone wishing to assist is welcome to come along. White flowers to decorate the Cross would be appreciated. Refreshments will be available. The Easter Sunday service will be led by Rev. Colin Mailer. Children, come along and enjoy the Sunday fun club from 11.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.

Westfield Park

The community café is open on Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. Meals are from £2, snacks from £1 with tea and coffee included. The craft group meets on Tuesday between 7 and 9 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and noon. Friday Group meets between 12.30-3 p.m. The job club meets on Wednesdays between 10 and noon. CAB meets every second Thursday between 12.30-2.30 p.m. If you require advice or help, please call in to the centre.
