Get yer baffies oot for Shelter
According to Shelter Scotland, 100,000 children across Britain – almost 5000 of them in Scotland – will go to bed this Christmas Eve without a place to call home.
Launching ‘baffie day’ – Friday, December 4 – Gok Wan and the charity hope to raise awareness and funds to help those facing the human tragedy of homelessness.

Gok Wan said: ‘‘Just a little bit can go a long way towards helping the thousands of children who will be waking up homeless this Christmas.
‘‘That’s why I’m putting my best foot forward and taking a slipper selfie, to support Slippers for Shelter.

“Not only will your feet be comfy and cosy all day, you’ll be helping a great cause too.”
Alison Watson, deputy director of Shelter Scotland, said: ‘‘Not a single child should be homeless, especially at Christmas, so the fact that in 21st Century Scotland nearly 5000 children will wake up without a home on Christmas Day just goes to show the devastating depths our housing crisis has reached.
“We urge the public to get behind this campaign.’’
