Kirsty Scott, community and events fundraising manager at the Stroke Association, said: “One in six of us will have a stroke and it is the leading cause of impairment and disability in Scotland.
‘‘The important thing to remember is that strokes are preventable and if people made simple lifestyle changes, such as keeping blood pressure under control, eating healthy food and exercising more then there could be fewer strokes.
‘‘We’re encouraging people in the Central Belt to get fit and take part in our Resolution Run, with friends, family or on their own.

“The event is now in its fourth year at the Cramond Foreshore.
“Last year we had nearly 400 runners and raised nearly £10,000. The money raised will fund vital research and go towards preventing stroke and supporting people affected by stroke in Scotland.”
Registration for the Resolution Run begins at 9.30am with a 10.25am pre-run warm up and 10.30am start.
