A fuel spill on the Forth Road Bridge earlier today is still causing tailbacks.

The spill happened just before noon on the northbound carriageway into Fife causing major disruption.

The lane was closed while the road was cleared and it opened again just after 2pm.

However, a spokesman for Amey said the closure was still causing knock-on effects on rush hour traffic with congestion heavier than normal and motorists should expect delays.
