Traditional Chinese therapy is to be offered to staff, visitors and those living near Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
Tai Chi came out tops of survey on how best to use the green area around the Larbert health facility.
Now a free taster session is to be offered next Wednesday, August 1 after staff and the local community said it would be the best way to support health and wellbeing.
Rhona Denham, NHS Forth Valley health promotion officer, said: “Tai Chi is accessible to all ages and physical abilities and can be practised at many levels from a simple meditative exercise to a realistic martial art.
“We will be starting out gently but comfortable clothes and flat shoes are essential.”
She added that research showed even spending a short amount of time in a green space, such as a local park or woodland, can help decrease stress, reduce illness and improve mental health.
Tai Chi sessions take place early in the morning in public parks across China.
The free session in the hospital grounds, in front of Old Larbert House is from 12.45-1.45 p.m.
Places must be booked in advance by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling (01324) 673524.
Further sessions are planned throughout August.
