Forth Valley Royal Hospital first in Scotland to earn gold environment award

The Larbert hospital has become the first in the country to receive a gold level national award for its commitment to improving its environmental management and ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Keep Scotland Beautiful presented FVRH with the accolade in recognition of the continued efforts of its employees. In particular, the award highlights the hospital’s commitment to engaging with the community and patients by developing an arts programme, working with local schools and deploying effective waste management practices.

Jonathan Procter, director of facilities and infrastructure at NHS Forth Valley, said: “We are delighted to become the first hospital in Scotland to achieve gold in this national award. Our staff are passionate about maintaining high standards so they can provide a clean and caring environment for patients, visitors and staff. It’s brilliant to see that their hard work being recognised with this prestigious award.”
