The former Falkirk MP Eric Joyce is to stand trial accused of attacking two teenagers and causing £200-worth of damage to groceries in a London shop.
Mr Joyce (54) denies all the offences which are alleged to have taken place at a Camden off licence on October 17 last year.
Today he was excused from attending Westminster Magistrates Courts where he is accused of two counts of actual bodily harm against boys aged 14 and 15, and one of causing criminal damage.
He is due to stand trial on May 1.
Mr Joyce was formerly the Labour MP for Falkirk but left the party and stood as an indpendent. However, in 2012 he announced that he wouldn’t be seeking re-election.
