Fireworks bring festival to spectacular conclusion
The Forth Bridge Festival drew to a close on Saturday night with a spectacular fireworks show.
The event, which marked the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Forth Road Bridge, drew thousands of people to the area over its 10 days, with a host of activtites arranged.
The weekend’s programme saw the unveiling of the Guardian of the Bridges and the song contest winers party on Friday night.
These were followed on Saturday wth a torchlight procession which formed a kilometre-long ‘river of fire’ across the bridge before the fireworks display provided the climax.
