Visitors are enjoying a fascinating science lesson at Callendar House.
An exhibition is explaining how dead mice led to the the production of soda water, how the colour blue was invented in Grangemouth and how special bolts stop the Kelpies from taking off on windy days!
The event is being promoted by Falkirk Community Trust and takes a fun look at science.
It started earlier this month, runs until September 25 and is part of a bumper programme planned for the summer.
Family events are being hosted at Bo’ness, Larbert, Meadowbank and Falkirk libraries on July 4 and 5. The Messy Materials show for kids aged five to 11 is free.
Every Monday and Thursday between July 18 and August 18 they can head for the Georgian kitchen in Callendar House for more fun - by helping the resident cook make ice cream like they did 200 years ago!
Call (01324) 506850 to book a place at any of the workshops.
