Last year’s ceremony received over 400 nominations, with 350 attendees on the night, proving just how much Falkirk appreciates its volunteers’ effort and commitment.

Prizes include Long Service Awards (for 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 years’ service) and the main categories of Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Engaging Organisation of the Year and the Provost Lifetime Achievement Award.

Hairdresser Jill Lauder, from Grangemouth, was last year’s Volunteer of the Year for the work she does supporting and pampering cancer sufferers at her Lady J’s salon.

Gordon Samson will be master of ceremonies, while Provost Pat Reid will present the awards to those who give up their own time to help their communities.
