A journalist from Falkirk rubbed shoulders with one of the world’s biggest superstars this morning.
Courtney Cameron from Reddingmuirhead, a reporter with the Scotsman newspaper, was given the enviable task of securing an interview with George Clooney when he visited Edinburgh today.
The Hollywood actor was in the capital to meet workers at Social Bite, a cafe that donates 100 per cent of its profits to help homeless people. George left the cafe a $1000 donation after being impressed with their cause and was going on to a lunch date with a competition winner from Glasgow later today.
Courtney (22) said the atmosphere at the cafe was electric as they waited for Gorgeous George to arrive.
She said: “There was a huge crowd waiting for him and as he approached they went wild.
“He was great with the fans, shaking everyone’s hand and posing for selfies. When he approached me I got a bit star struck but I did managed to shake his hand and get my question in.
“It was a pretty exciting day - it’s not every day at work you’re asked to meet one of the biggest stars in the world!”
