Falkirk women live longer than men

Women living in Falkirk have a more than three-year higher life expectancy than men in the region.

Latest National Records of Scotland figures show females born in the local authority area between 2014 and 2016 have a life expectancy of 80.61.

Men whose birthdays fall within the same period are expected to live to 77.25, which is still 0.16 years higher than the national average for Scotland.
