Falkirk welcomes New Year babies

It was a night of firsts as three couples marked Hogmanay with a difference this year - by celebrating the birth of their new babies.

Baby girl, Neave Mackenzie, was first to arrive in the New Year at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

She was born at 4.24am on Friday, January 1 weighing 7lbs 5oz.

Proud parents Jilly (29) and Scott Mackenzie (40) live in Stenhousemuir and Neave is their first child together.

Next to arrive was Olivia Tarbet at 6.37am weighing 6lbs 2oz. Mum Fay Tarbet is 33-years-old and dad Adam Tarbet is 58.

The couple live in Denny and Olivia, who was due on Thursday, January 7, is their first child together.

Baby boy Ryan Stafford was born at 10.38am weighing 9lbs 1/2oz to mum Debbie Marshall (23), and dad Dean Stafford (29) who are both from Grangemouth. Ryan is also their first child together.
