Falkirk’s volunteer centre is hosting a conference to tackle challenges facing the third sector.
CVS Falkirk is inviting those who work with community groups, social enterprises, voluntary organisations or charities to attend the event which will also give people the opportunity to learn and share good practice.
Minister for Local Government and Community Empowerment, MSP Marco Biagi, is the keynote speaker.
CVS chief executive Karen Herbert said: “It is apparent that there is a reliance on the third sector to fulfil the many roles and services our communities need.
“Through their document Creating A Fairer Scotland, the Scottish Government believes that we can make our communities an even better place to live. The support of the third sector can help build a fairer, more equal society.”
The conference is being held on Wednesday, February 10 at Forth Valley College from 9am-4pm.
