Christmas is just around the corner - and Falkirk’s biggest shopping mall intends to make sure as many children as possible enjoy the big day.

Management at The Howgate are confident that with the help of shoppers their annual toy appeal can be the biggest and best yet!

They know that while many youngsters across the district will be spoilt for choice when it comes to unwrapping parcels on December 25, many others might not be so lucky.

Now they are asking anyone who can afford it to make a difference by donating a present for a child from a family in less fortunate circumstances to open on Christmas morning.

And being a ‘Secret Santa’ could not be easier!

Gifts can simply be handed to staff at the Help Desk by December 13 and they will have them wrapped and ready for Falkirk Council social work volunteers to deliver in plenty of time.

Margaret Foy, marketing manager at The Howgate said: “Our annual appeal has brought Christmas goodwill to hundreds of disadvantaged children over the last 12 years.

‘‘It’s fantastic to see such generosity that makes such a difference at this special time of the year.”
