Falkirk’s Marie Curie fundraising group was in better health after a nutrition company raised cash for the cause.

Grangemouth-based Market UK: Isotonix, Vitamins and Motives Cosmetics held a fundraising event in Costa Coffee’s Grahams Road shop which raised £1000 for the charity, which provides care for people with terminal illnesses.

The firm’s Helen Barclay said: “Thanks to support from Aspray, who donated £100, the Costa Coffee team and the generosity of all who attended, a fantastic £1000 was raised for an amazing cause.”

Marie Curie’s local community fundraiser Jennifer Gale said: “We’d like to say a big thank you to Helen and everyone who supported this event. The money raised can fund 50 hours of Marie Curie nursing care locally. We simply could not provide the services we do without the support of the public and events such as this.”
