A map pinpointing where Falkirk parents can receive extra support for their children has been produced.
The service guide features over 1000 venues across Scotland where youngsters with additional support needs can get extra help.
It shows 33 venues for extra support in the Falkirk area, ranging from primary schools with units offering specialist teaching to psychology services and mental health facilities.
The Falkirk area’s provision fares well in comparison to neighbouring authorities, with 19 facilities in Stirling, 30 in West Lothian and 17 in Clackmannanshire.
The map has been produced by support service Enquire after a Scottish Government report revealed the “fight” some parents faced to obtain help and advice about learning provision.
Sally Cavers, manager at Enquire, said: “We were delighted to support and now deliver on this recommendation from the Doran review and have used our experience and knowledge to pull together and collate this information for parents across Scotland.
“We hope this map of services saves parents time, presents key information in a clear way and becomes a very well-used resource for everyone supporting children with additional support needs.”
