Classmates from Falkirk High School class of 1973 can reminisce at a reunion next month.
Almost all the pupils that attended the school from 1973 to 1979 have been traced by organisers Lorne Bowman, Sandy Nimmo and Duncan McIntosh.
Lorne (54), who now lives in Grangemouth said: “Thanks to social media like Facebook and Friends Reunited, we managed to find almost everyone and invite them to the reunion.
“We used school photos from Falkirk High and Bantaskine, Langlees and Bainsford primaries, each with the names on the back, to try to hunt them down. We have now found 228 pupils from our year – more than we thought was even at Falkirk High in that time.”
The get together will be on Saturday, October 31, at Falkirk Stadium and the organisers are working on ways to make the night memorable. A yearbook is in the pipeline with photos both from the 1970s and today with funny anecdotes on the years in between.
Lorne added: “Falkirk High pupils certainly got around, we’ve found people living in Australia, New Zealand and Florida in the USA. We hope as many as possible make it to the reunion for a catch up.”
