Spread some cheer this festive season - and be the envy of your friends - by signing up for The Falkirk Herald’s Christmas Carol challenge!

Today we again invite songsters across the district to ‘hit the right note’ as the countdown to December 25 continues by recording a video of you and your friends singing your favourite seasonal song to be included on our webpage.

Everyone enjoys a singalong and what better time to go vocal than December when Santa is on his way and it’s the time to be jolly?

Any group of friends or family, well-rehearsed choirs preparing for their annual shows or community groups, churches and schools are welcome to take part.

And what about all you office, warehouse and factory workers out there getting ready to enjoy your annual Christmas night out? What better way to kick-off the celebrations than by taking a few minutes to get your favourite carol recorded and downloaded to us for all our readers to enjoy?

It really couldn’t be easier to get involved and make a colourful and musical contribution to Christmas 2014.

They say everyone is entitled to ‘fifteen minutes of fame’ - and being part of our video feature could deliver that and more if your video on our website is good enough.

Everyone has a smart phone nowadays which can deliver a colourful picture stream of everyone and anyone giving it up for Christmas.

The choice of what to sing is also endless and includes traditional favourites like ‘White Christmas’, ‘Jingle Bells’ and ‘Let it Snow’ or how about ‘All I want for Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth’ or ‘Hark The Herald Angels Sing’ - although that might be the one we at The Falkirk Herald decide to present ourselves!

No matter, simply download the music and lyrics of your choice, have a quick run through then get that camera rolling to record your magical musical moment for posterity.

Whether you have always felt you couldn’t carry a ‘tune in a bucket’ or had that feeling a career as a pop star was cruelly denied you, you should send your entries in now.

Just visit www.falkirkherald.co.uk today and scroll down to the ‘Share Your Story’ section and select upload your video to make it happen.
