The Falkirk Herald is giving readers yet another way to find out what’s happening in their town or village with the launch of a new app.

The newspaper has served the local community for 170 years but understands that more and more people are looking to access local news in different ways.

We have in excess over 17,000 in our Facebook family while more than 8000 people follow our main Twitter account.

And our website continues to go from strength to strength with a 150 per cent increase in both unique users and page views last year.

However, with people increasingly using mobile devices we want to make it as easy as possible for them to get instant access to news and sports updates.

And that’s where our new app comes in.

It contains all the articles featured on our website, but packages them in a way that makes them far easier to read on your phone or tablet.
