Falkirk firms reach the final in Scottish Wedding Awards

Ten local businesses have been awarded with a place in the finals of the Scottish Wedding Awards 2018.

The awards recognise the talent of those in the wedding industry, from local suppliers and businesses, who work behind the scenes to help organise couples’ dream days.

Along with other businesses from around Scotland, Creative Oceanic have 
announced that Irene’s Florist, Mike Cook Photography, Olivia Cameron Bridal, Claire Blackadder at The Parsonage at Dunmore Park, Piper Dan, harpist Sarah MacNeil, The Parsonage at Dunmore Park, Every 1s Favourite, KiKi Chic Hair and Make-up Artistry and Little Love Letters Weddings have all earned a place in the final.

The competition, which is now in its sixth year, received thousands of nominations from the Scottish public.

Irfan Younis, CEO of organisers Creative Oceanic, explained: “We are very proud to see that so many people would like to get involved in the sixth Official Scottish Wedding Awards.

“Our job is to promote this great industry which continues to thrive over the years.

“We’ve had a fantastic response from the public and now we are looking forward to welcoming and acknowledging the most successful professionals and businesses in the wedding industry.

“We would like to wish all the finalists the best of luck.”

The winners will be announced at a black tie event on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Glasgow.

Full details of the local finalists and their categories are: Irene’s Florist (Florist of the Year), Mike Cook Photography (Photographer of the Year), Olivia Cameron Bridal (Wedding Boutique of the Year), Claire Blackadder at The Parsonage at Dunmore Park (Wedding Coordinator of the Year), Piper Dan (Wedding Entertainment of the Year), harpist Sarah MacNeil (Wedding Entertainment of the Year) The Parsonage at Dunmore Park (Romantic Venue of the Year), Every 1s Favourite 
(Stationery Supplier of the year), KiKi Chic Hair and Make-up Artistry (Freelance Wedding Hair and Make-up Specialist of the Year) and Little Love Letters Weddings (Stationery Supplier of the year). This year the Scottish Wedding Awards will support the Well Foundation.
