Falkirk Delivers reaches Britain in Bloom finals

Falkirk Delivers is one of 75 groups from across the UK competing to be the cleanest, greenest and most beautiful place in the country.

The organisation has been chosen to compete in the Britain in Bloom finals in recognition of its tireless efforts to deliver environmental improvements in its local area.

Along with Falkirk Delivers, who are competing in the BIDs, Town & City Centres category, five other Scottish groups have been selected as finalists following their success at the Beautiful Scotland Awards in 2017.

Lesley Hendry, project lead at Taking a Pride in Falkirk, said: “Falkirk Delivers, the town’s Business Improvement District is delighted to have been chosen, for the first time, as a UK finalist for this year’s Britain in Bloom.

“We are responsible for a host of projects under our strategic objective of Taking a Pride in Falkirk, many of which are delivered in partnership with other organisations and volunteers.

“These projects are designed to ensure that our town centre spaces are bright and beautiful, create a feeling of pride and ensure Falkirk is a welcoming area for those who shop, work, live and visit our town centre.”

The UK winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony in Belfast on October 19, 2018.
