West Lothian Council urges people to take part in national clean-up campaign
West Lothian Council is supporting Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Summer Clean for 2021.
The Summer Clean from May 28 - June 20 aims to encourage small, local actions to help tackle issues with litter.
Individuals looking to support the campaign are encouraged to: Organise a private event within your local community; Make your litter pick count and do a litter survey to help create a snapshot of litter in Scotland; Help to spread the message and encourage others to get involved.
You can find further information on the Summer Clean via the Keep Scotland Beautiful website - https://www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/community-and-place/clean-up-scotland/summer-clean-2021/.
Any events should follow the Scottish Government's guidance on restrictions levels for outdoor events and Keep Scotland Beautiful will continue to make the latest advice and support available for participants. The latest advice can be viewed here: https://www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org/media/1565937/group-litter-picking-guidance-and-faqs.pdf.
