One motorist was so disgusted by the mess just off Wholeflats Road – which is only a few minutes drive away from the actual Kinneil Kerse Recycling Centre – he took pictures and contacted The Falkirk Herald.

He said: “The lay by off of Wholeflats Road is an utter disgrace and has been in this state for more than a year. Falkirk Council cannot use COVID-19 as an excuse for not dealing with the fly tipping as I have reported this twice – once two or three months before we the pandemic hit and again three weeks ago.

"Why Falkirk Council is ignoring this area is disgusting and disgraceful. I have complained to them more than 10 days ago with no response. It’s about time something was done about it.”
