Larbert High School head teacher Jon Reid, his staff and pupils have been voted congratulations in Holyrood for landing a “first class report”.
Falkirk East MSP Angus MacDonald lodged the special Scottish Parliament vote, supported by numerous fellow MSPs, after the school received a glowing appraisal from Education Scotland.
It rates the school as either very good or excellent in each area of evaluation, with key strengths including an ability to demonstrate very effective planning for continuous improvement and an appropriate pace of change.
The school was also praised for high levels of staff engagement in professional learning, which is leading to continuous improvement in learning and teaching amd strong outcomes.
Jon Reid was singled out for “outstanding strategic leadership”.
Angus MacDonald said: “The staff and pupils of Larbert High School, and Falkirk Council, should be incredibly proud of this report.”
