Forth Valley College has won a prestigious Times Educational Supplement (TES) Further Education award.
It scooped the ‘Best Teaching and Learning Initiative’ award at a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
FVC was recognised for setting up an 80-strong Creative Learning Leadership Group (CLLG), with management, teaching staff, learning and support staff and the student union all involved. This led to initiatives, such as launching a Raspberry Pi computer into space on a hydrogen balloon and media and engineering students making a film about 3D printing.
It was also short-listed in Employer Engagement and Apprenticeship Programme of the Year categories.
Principal Dr Ken Thomson, said: “This is an excellent endorsement of the good work that is continuously being carried out across all our campuses.”
