Early morning assault in Falkirk town centre

A man was taken to hospital after an unprovoked assault in Falkirk town centre.

The incident occurred around 3am on Saturday, January 30 in Grahams Road, near to the junction with Meeks Road.

A group of people walking home from a night out were approached by two men who, for no apparent reason, began assaulting members of the group.

A 22-year-old man required hospital treatment, although his injuries are not thought to be serious.

The two men responsible are described as being white, in their 30s, one with short brown hair and one with a shaved head. Both were around 6ft.

Constable Williams said: “This is an unprovoked assault on a group of people returning home after a night out.”
